Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on College Basketball’. Tonight it is a Philly Big Five battle as Big East Powerhouse Villanova takes on Temple Owls of the American Athletic Conference. Villanova comes in as the #1 team in the country, with a record of 10-0. Temple comes in with a record of 6-2.

This is the second time that I am live blogging these Philly schools. Last Month the Wildcats defeated Lafayette by a score of 104-57. They were shooting the ball very well in that game. The Owls defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 59-55, last week at Liacouras Center.

​The Wildcats average 85.6 PPG, allowing 63.3 PPG, rebounding 37.8 RPG, and 16.2 APG. Meanwhile the Owls average 74.6 PPG, allow 68.8 PPG, 34.6 RPG, and 12.8 APG.

Villanova is dominating this game. Brunson had an outstanding 1st Half with 22 points. As for Temple they got to play better 3-point FG defense. Nova is shooting 9-18 from behind the arc.  The Owls need to dominate the paint.

Final Thoughts: 
Well Villanova proved that they are the kings of the Philly Big 5. The Wildcats were led by Jalen Brunson and Omari Spellman led the number 1 team of the country with a combined 58 points. As for Temple, the Owls looked flat. Did not get their inside scoring. Villanova's next game against Hofstra, on a neutral site. Temple will play Drexel on Saturday.
