Admirals (36-10-1-0, 73 points) have become the story in the AHL. They have won 19 straight games. Their lost loss came from the Rockford IceHogs, back on New Year’s Eve. And Milwaukee hasn’t lost since. In fact, they haven’t lost in 2024. They will go for 20 straight games, with a win against the Griffins. For the Griffins (24-15-5-3, 56 points), they’ve won 3 straight games. But they are in a fight for 2nd place with Texas Stars and Rockford IceHogs. Tonight, it is a Eastern Conference showdown, between the Rochester Americans (Buffalo Sabres AHL Affiliate) and the Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals Affiliate). Amerks (24-18-5-2, 55 points) are coming off getting swept by Belleville Senators. Now the Amerks get a chance to face a Hershey Bears team, who beat them in the Eastern Conference Finals. For the Bears (40-9-0-3, 83 points), they defeated Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Before that game, they took 2 out of 3 games in Canada. And now they face Rochester. As the Bears would like to keep the Amerks from playing in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. It is the Rochester Americans and the Hershey Bears, coming up shortly. For the Firebirds (27-12-4-2, 60 points), they are coming off to a 4-0 shutout of Henderson. A win will get them off to a good start on their 3-game homestand.
