Event Location: Place Bell, Laval QC Hello, and welcome to another edition of 'Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey'. Tonight, it is the final hour of American Hockey League's 2023 All-Star Challenge. This All-Star Challenge is different than the NHL All-Star Game. Where the Eastern Conference two divisions and the Western Conference two divisions play against each other to advance to the Championship Game. AHL has the four divisions play against each other in a round robin round. The two best divisions at the end of the Round Robin, will meet in the Championship Game. In the first four games, North and Pacific drawed. Then Atlantic defeated Central in a shootout. Pacific defeated Atlantic in the third game. And then, Central and North end in a shootout. By my count, Atlantic has 4 points. Pacific has 3 points. While North and Central have 2 points. The regulation winners of both upcoming games should advance to the All-Star Game. It is the final three games of the 2023 AHL All-Star Challenge, coming up shortly. |
