Stars (2-2-0, 4 points) won the Central Division last year, but got bounced in the Calder Cup Playoffs by the Milwaukee Admirals. They would like to improve on their Calder Cup Playoffs. For the Wolves (1-1-1, 3 points), they are a year removed from the 2022 Calder Cup. However, they did not make the Calder Cup Playoffs Last Season. This year, they are would like to make their 30th Season a memorable one. But they have to get passed the Stars and the rest of the Central Divison. Wolves are the defending champions. They dropped their first two games of the 2022-23 season at home. But they are looking to get their first win on the road against their in-state rivals. As for the IceHogs, they had an okay road start. They split their first two games. But they would to take their home opener against the Defending Champion Wolves. Tonight, it is Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals in the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs, between Chicago Wolves (Carolina Hurricanes AHL Affiliate))and Stockton Heat (Calgary Flames Affiliate). Wolves took the first three games of this series in Rosemont. They defeated the Heat 5-4 in overtime in Game 1 on Friday. In Game 2, Wolves defeat the Heat 3-2, with the help of the Wolves’ Power Play. In Game 3, Alex Lyon and the Blue Line stopped all 23 Stockton shots in a 3-0 victory. However, the Heat in Game 4 stave off elimination with a Power Play Goal by Glenn Gawdin. Now the Heat hope to send the series back to Rosemont on Tuesday, with a win Tonight. However, The Wolves want to head back to Chicagoland Area, with a berth to the 1st Calder Cup Playoffs after the COVID-19 Pandemic. Heat won both the regular season and the Pacific Division portion of the Calder Cup Playoffs. They have a high powered offense and has a good goalkeeper by Dustin Wolf. Wolves also have a decent netminder in Alex Lyon. But the Wolves are having a fantastic postseason from Josh Levio (6G-7A-13 Pts.). Wolves took Game 1 by the score of 6-2. They are looking to win Game 2 and hope to wrap the series up in Rockford. For the IceHogs, they had a bad game on Thursday.
