Game 6 Location: Acrisure Arena, Palm Desert, CA Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is Game 6 of the 2023 Calder Cup Finals, between Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals AHL Affiliate) and the Coachella Valley Firebirds (Seattle Kraken Affiliate). The home teams has won every game in this series. Firebirds dominated the first two games. While the Bears have won games 3-5 all by one goal in Hershey. So now the series returns to Palm Desert, where the Firebirds hope to defend their home ice. If Coachella Valley does not defend the Acrisure Arena, then the Chocolate & White will win their 12th Calder Cup Championship. For the Bears to win their 12th Calder Cup, they net more championship winning goaltending from Hunter Shepard. He had it in Games 3-5 but was overwhelmed in Games 1-2. The question for Hershey will be which Hunter Shepard will show up in Game 6. Firebirds are asking that from Joey Daccord. But they are more worried about their inconsistency in goal scoring. In Games 1-2 they scored a combined 9 goals. In Games 3-5, they only scored a combined 6 goals. So, which Firebirds Skaters will show up in Game 6? And will Joey Daccord return to his dominance in Games 1-2? It is Game 6 of the 2023 Calder Cup Finals, between the Hershey Bears and Coachella Valley Firebirds. Game 6 will begin shortly.
