Live-Blogging Shish on College Basketball: Mountain West Bubble Bursting Game-San Diego State Aztecs at Wyoming Cowboys 02/28/2022

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on College Sports’. Tonight, it is a bubble bursting Men’s Basketball game in the Mountain West Conference, between San Diego Aztecs and Wyoming Cowboys.

Here’s What is at stake for both programs. Whoever wins tonight stays with Boise State and Colorado State for the Regular Season Crown for the Mountain West Conference. It will also give the victor a Quad 1 victory and help their tournament chances. The loser of this game will have to put more of an emphasis on winning the MW Tournament Next Week.

Aztecs are led by Matt Bradley in scoring. While Nathan Mensah leads San Diego State in rebounding. While Trey Pulliam leads the California state university in assists.

For the Cowboys, they are led by Graham Ike in scoring and rebounding. While Hunter Maldonado leads Wyoming in assists.


It is San Diego State Aztecs and Wyoming Cowboys. Winner pads their tournament resume. Loser needs to win MW Tournament for automatic bid.

Final Thoughts:
Aztecs get some great shooting in the 1st Half, thanks to Matt Bradley. He scored 20 of his 30 points in the 1st Half. But San Diego State needed some foul shooting and Pulliam to makes some shots down the stretch to get the Quad 1 victory.

For the Cowboys, Graham Ike had problems with the double team and Nathan Mensah. Now the Cowboys are going to have to hope someone like Belmont doesn't upset Murray State in a hypothetical Ohio Valley Championship Game, otherwise Wyoming is going to need to win the Mountain West Tournament Next Week.

However, This Thursday Aztecs will head back to San Diego to face Frenso State. While Wyoming will head to Vegas on Wednesday, to face UNLV.
