Buffaloes had to win 8 straight games to get in the Final Pac-12 Tournament Championship. They came up short. But they ended getting in as one of the last at-large bids. They will be looking for KJ Simpson, Tristan da Silva, and Eddie Lampkin to lead the Boulder University to victory. For the Broncos, they were hoping not to play Tonight. But the Tournament Committee has them as one of the Last Four In the Tournament. They had a strong NET and finished tied for 2nd Place in the Mountain West. But they were one and done in the MW Tournament. Now they will turn to Tyson Degenhart, O’Mar Stanley, and Cam Martin to lead them to the program’s first victory in the NCAA Tournament. Both teams are in the Top 50 in the NET Ranking. A win by Drake could steal a bid for the Missouri Valley Conference. Also, a win will give Drake a repeat as conference tournament champions. For the Sycamores, they’ve channeled their inner-Larry Bird, this season. This is their best season since 2011. A win this afternoon will get them back to the Dance, for the 1st time in 13 seasons. Tonight, it is a Mountain West Football game, between the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels (6-1, 3-0 MWC) and the Fresno State Bulldogs (6-1, 2-1 MWC) UNLV is having a program season. Other than the loss to Michigan, the Runnin’ Rebels have become Bowl eligible. They could have a chance to play for the Mountain West Championship. For the Bulldogs, they are coming off a bye and they were able to bounce back from their loss to Wyoming, by defeating Utah State. Unlike UNLV, Fresno does not have conference leading Air Force in their schedule. So, their path to the Mountain West Championship is easier, if they win Tonight. This year, Suggs and Johnny Juzang are gone. But Drew Timme, Tyger Campbell, and Jaime Jaquez, Junior are from that matchup. And the quest for both teams are still the same.
