Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is the AHL version of Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings. As the Rockford IceHogs (16-15-3-1, 36 points) and the Grand Rapids Griffins (16-15-4-1, 37 points).
 
This is a battle for 3rd Place. Where in the Central Division version of the Calder Cup Playoffs, it is a difference of playing a play-in series or a division semifinal.
 
IceHogs have won 4 out of 5 games. They get to face a Griffins team, who were struggling until they went to Manitoba.
 
The Griffins were able to get a road sweep of the Moose. And now they get to face the IceHogs before a home series with Belleville.
 
It is the Rockford IceHogs and the Grand Rapids Griffins, coming up shortly.

Final Thoughts:
This was a game that didn't have a lot of shots. IceHogs took the lead with a Mike Hardman (5:40) goal.

But then the Griffins finished the game with 3 goals in the 3rd Period.

With the win, the Griffins are 3 points ahead of the IceHogs for 3rd Place.

Rockford will head to Milwaukee, to face the Admirals on Friday Night. While the Griffins, will host Belleville Senators for a 2-game series, beginning on Friday Night.
