Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is an American Hockey League game, between the Colorado Eagles (Colorado Avalanche AHL Affiliate) & Abbotsford Canucks (Vancouver Canucks).
 
The Eagles & Canucks played against each other last night. Canucks (33-21-2-3, 71 points) are trying to hold off the Eagles (30-20-4-3, 67 points) for 3rd Place in the 2023 Calder Cup Pacific Division Playoffs. A win tonight will put Abbotsford 6 points ahead.
 
For the Eagles, they would like to split the Weekend Series, cut the deficit for 3rd Place to 2 points.
 
Colorado is led by Charles Hudon in scoring. While Linus Karlsson leads Abbotsford in scoring.

Final Thoughts:
Eagles get some momentum, when they kill a 5-on-3 penalty. Then 18:49 into the 3rd Period, Ryan Merkley ties the game, with a goal passed the 1st Start of the Game, Arturs Silovs. Then it was Justin Scott who ended the game, on a walk-off goal in the 9-roound shootout.

With the victory, The Eagles have increased their lead for 4th Place in the Pacific Division to 4 points. And they cut their deficit for 3rd Place to Abbotsford to 3 points.

Colorado will head to Rockford, to face the IceHogs. While Abbotsford will host Ontario Reign. Both games will be played on Friday.
