Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is an AHL Pacific Division showdown, between the Calgary Wranglers (Calgary Flames AHL Affiliate) and the Coachella Valley Firebirds (Seattle Kraken Affiliate).

Wranglers (23-13-3-0, 49 points) got a victory over the San Jose Barracuda, which snapped Calgary's 4-game losing streak. Now they are in 3rd Place in the Pacific Division and face the division leaders Coachella Valley (24-12-4-1, 53 points) for a 2-game midweek series, beginning Tonight.

For the Firebirds, they've won 4 out of their last 5 games. And are on top of the Pacific Division. They get a chance to extend the lead, if they can win these two games against Calgary and their Saturday showdown against Tucson, before the All-Star Break.

It is the Calgary Wranglers and the Coachella Valley Firebirds, coming up shortly.

Final Thoughts:
Firebirds overcome some special teams woes, due to the goaltending by Chris Driedger. Driedger was able to outperform Dustin Wolf.  For the Wranglers, they had more shots on goal. But couldn't get it passed Chris Driedger.

With the victory, Firebirds stay a point in front of Tucson, for the Pacific Division lead.
