Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Horse Racing’. Tonight, it is Los Alamitos Racecourse’s Late Pick 4 featuring the 2022 Brad McKenzie Winter Championship Stakes.
 
Last Year, I Live Blogged the Brad McKenzie Winter Championship, with Powerful Favorite  as the winning quarter horse in that race. This year, the race involves two favorites.
 
#3 Apolitical Pence is a 6-year-old gelding, who is the 8-5 favorite. While a close second is the 4-year-old gelding Flash Bak. FB has 9-5 odds, in this race.
 
Here are the races for the Late Pick 4 that features the Brad McKenzie Championship Stakes.

​Race 7, 300 yards, Dirt, Qtr. Horse, $9K, 8 horses:
The first race of this Late Pick 4 is a battle of 3–5-year-olds. #5 Query is a 4-year-old filly, who is the favorite at 2-1. While #1 Dawn of Dusk is a 20-1 long shot.
15 MTP:  #4 Dollys Talent is a 1-2 favorite. 
10 MTP: #6 Luciabella is a 35-1 long shot.
5 MTP: Faster Than Fire is near her morning line of 3-1. She is at 5-2 odds.
2 MTP: DT is the favorite at 8-5. While Luciabella is a 17-1 long shots. And FTF is near her 3-1 morning line at 2-1.

This next race involves 3-year-olds. #3 La Talia is a 15-1 long shot. While #1 How High is the 2-1 favorite.

15 MTP: LT is a 10-1 long shot.
10 MTP: HH is near his morning line 2-1. He is at 3-2.
5 MTP: HH is the favorite a 7-5. 
2 MTP: HH is an 8-5 favorite. While LT is a 13-1 long shot. #2 Thirty Six Express is at her morning line of 7-2.

15 MTP: Fireband is a 14-1 long shot.
10 MTP: #3 Jess Beautiful Fire (4-1) and #4 Fool This Kid (7-2) are near their morning lines (7-2 for JBF and 4-1 for FTK. 
5 MTP: #5 La Reina Del Sur 1 is near her morning line of 2-1. She is at 5-2.
2 MTP: KA is the favorite at 7-5. While Fireband is a 12-1 long shot.

As mentioned, Apolitical Pence and Flash Bak are the favorites. While #2 Stolen Lives and #7 Mister Tornado are the 30-1 long shots.

20 MTP: AP is the favorite at 4-5. 
15 MTP: MT is a 45-1 long shot.
10 MTP:#2 SL is at his morning line of 30-1.
5 MTP: #10 Gotta Corona Jess is at her morning line of 20-1.
2 MTP: AP is the favorite at 3-5. While #1 Just a Dasha Hero is the 50-1 long shot. While FB is near his morning line of 9-5. He is at 2-1.

Final Thoughts:
Apolitical Pence is the big winner. He outlasted Flash Bak in to win the 2022 Brad McKenzie Winter Championship. 

He joins Query, Carisma Vista, Fool This Kid in the $1 Late Pick 4.
