Michael Maker is the trainer. And Paradise Farms Corp as the owner. Really Good was spawned by Hard Spun and Means Well. Means Well’s Sire is Smart Strike. He has raced at Kentucky’s finest racecourses. He raced in Keeneland and Churchhill Downs. His last four races have been on turf. If the race becomes a dirt race, we’ll see if he’ll race in Today’s $100K 2023 Hawthorne Derby.

This Afternoon, it is Hawthorne Racecourse’s Pick 3 featuring The Third Chance Stakes. The featured race is a battle involving fillies and mares, between 3-year-olds and upward. These horses are Illinois bred and raised. It has a $75K purse. And it is the first of two stakes to be held for the Thoroughbred Spring/Summer Meet in Cicero/Stickney’s Racecourse. Their opening night starts off with the 3-year-old Cardinal & Violet Stakes. In the Cardinal & Violet Races, the Cardinal races are for the colts & geldings. While the Violet is for the fillies. In harness racing there two types of standardbred horses who participate in harness racing, pacers & trotters. Pacers move two legs on the same side at a time. Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Horse Racing’. Tonight, it is the Leg 2 Races of Hawthorne Racecourse’s Winter Wonderland. Last Week, Bet Mine, Foxy Fiji, and Mastery won Leg 1 Races of the 2022 Winter Wonderland Series. Tonight, there will be some horses returning in the Leg 2s. One horse is one who won me a show bet Last Saturday. And that is #2 SheCaughtTheKaty (12-1 odds) in race 7. She finishes 3rd in Leg 1 of the Fillies and Mares version of the Winter Wonderland. She will try and get her first victory in Leg 2 of the Fillies and Mares version of the Winter Wonderland. That race is also the 7th Race of tonight’s card. In the Late Pick 6, it features the Tony Salvaro and Phil Georgeff eliminators. Both races are named after former Chicagoland Horse Racing announcers. The fastest qualifiers for these races, will advance to next week's races named after these two famous announcers. These are stakes races that will be held later in the 2021 Hawthorne Harness Racing Schedule. Phil Georgeff is a familiar name in Chicagoland Horse Racing, as he was a longtime announcer for racetracks like Hawthorne Racecourse, Arlington Park, and the old Sportsman’s Park that used to be in Cicero. He also is the Guinness Book of World Records for most horse races called, according to Wikipedia. These races below are Late Pick 6 of the 2021 Mother’s Day Slate of Races.
