Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on ‘Shish on College Football’. Tonight it is the Penn State Nittany Lions taking on Illinois Fighting Illini. This is the Big Ten Opening Game for both programs. The Nittany Lions come in with a record of 3-0, while the Illini come in with a record of 2-1.

The Nittany Lions started off with a scare from Appleacchia State. But defeated Pitt and Kent St. easily. The Nittany Lions are hoping the Illini will give them a tuneup before their showdown with Ohio State.

As for the Illini, they are 2-1, but are coming off a loss to South Florida. Illini Head Coach Lovie Smith is hoping for some progress in his 3rd season as the Football Coach of the Urbana-Champaign University.
