Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on College Football’. Tonight, it is a Big Ten Football matchup, between Iowa Hawkeyes and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Hawkeyes bounced back from their loss to Iowa State a couple of weeks ago, by shutting out Nevada Last Week. In the Big Ten West, where Hawkeyes have Wisconsin and a down Nebraska Program, they would like to improve on that win in their Big Ten Opener against Rutgers. It is also the Big Ten Opener, for the Scarlet Knights. They are off to a fast start and would like to continue their Big Ten portion of their schedule. But trying to win the Big East for the Piscataway Research University is easier said than done, when Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State are in your division. Hawkeyes are led by Spencer Petras in passing. Kaleb Johnson is Iowa’s leading rusher. And Arland Bruce, IV is the Iowa City University’s leading receiver. As for Rutgers, they are led by Evan Simon in passing. Kyle Monanagai leads the Scarlet Knights in rushing. While Aron Cruickshank leads the New Jersey University in receiving. For the Terrapins, they are getting an air attack from Tua Tagovailoa’s Brother Taulia. He leads the Big Ten with 1340 passing yards. Hawkeyes gain 293.0 YPG (171.8 in the air and 121.3 on the ground). Defensively, they allow 271.5 YPG (187 in the air and 84.5 on the ground).
