The Spirit are coming in with a record of 1-4-2, 5 Points, while the Defending Champion Thorns are coming in with a record of 2-3-3, 9 Points.

Both teams are coming off losses last week. The Thorns are coming off a 2-1 loss over the Orlando Pride in Portland. While the Spirit are coming off 1-0 loss to the North Carolina Courage.

The Thorns are hoping to try and get on a hot streak, while the Spirit wants to find a spark.

Final Thoughts:
Well the Thorns were able to overcome some adversity off the field, as they had a rough travel, according to the go90 broadcast. But with the historic goal by Ellie Carpenter (She becomes youngest player to score a goal in the NWSL), the Thorns are temporarily back in Playoff Position. As for the Spirit, they are continuing to struggle, having not won since the end of March. They are hoping that next week's match vs. Sky Blue FC on Wednesday, could help them get off the snide.
