Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Women’s Soccer’. Tonight, it is the opening match between Angel City FC and NJNY Gotham FC.
 
Both teams missed the NWSL Playoffs Last Season. So, they are both looking to play some extra soccer in the Fall.
 
Angel City is hoping that their star Christen Press returns from her season-ending knee injury. A healthy Press could get the Los Angeles-Based NWSL squad to the NWSL Playoffs.
 
For Gotham, they are looking to return to their 2021 NWSL Playoff form. For that to happen they need great seasons from Midge Purce and Lynn Williams.
