Tonight, it is the Late Pick 6 of Hawthorne Harness Racing on Mother’s Day. In the Late Pick 6, it features the Tony Salvaro and Phil Georgeff eliminators. Both races are named after former Chicagoland Horse Racing announcers. The fastest qualifiers for these races, will advance to next week's races named after these two famous announcers. These are stakes races that will be held later in the 2021 Hawthorne Harness Racing Schedule. Phil Georgeff is a familiar name in Chicagoland Horse Racing, as he was a longtime announcer for racetracks like Hawthorne Racecourse, Arlington Park, and the old Sportsman’s Park that used to be in Cicero.
