Live-Blogging: Hawthorne Harness Racing on Mother's Day 2021

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Horse Racing’. Tonight, it is the Late Pick 6 of Hawthorne Harness Racing on Mother’s Day.
 
In the Late Pick 6, it features the Tony Salvaro and Phil Georgeff eliminators. Both races are named after former Chicagoland Horse Racing announcers. The fastest qualifiers for these races, will advance to next week's races named after these two famous announcers.

These are stakes races that will be held later in the 2021 Hawthorne Harness Racing Schedule. Phil Georgeff is a familiar name in Chicagoland Horse Racing, as he was a longtime announcer for racetracks like Hawthorne Racecourse, Arlington Park, and the old Sportsman’s Park that used to be in Cicero. He also is the Guinness Book of World Records for most horse races called, according to Wikipedia.
 
These races below are Late Pick 6 of the 2021 Mother’s Day Slate of Races. 

​Race 7, Trot, 1 Mile, Dirt, 5 horses:
In the first race of the Late Pick 6, it is a co-ed battle of non-winners. #3 Solar is the favorite at 6/5 odds. While #5 Majestic Caprice is a 12-1 long shot.

For this race, it is one of the Phil Georgeff Eliminator, which is an all-male race. #6 Fox Valley Sampson is the favorite at 3-1. While there are three 20-1 long shots. #5 Sportsmadness, #9 Here Comes Mario, and #10 Always First.
