Hello, and welcome to a special edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Horse Racing’. Tonight, it is races 7-9 of the Hawthorne Harness Racing’s 2021 Night of Champions. All 11 races on Hawthorne’s slate of races today are their stakes races.

Throughout Hawthorne Harness Racing Summer Meet, Illinois Pacing and Trotting Standardbreds race for the right to participate in the Night of Champions.

I will be posting the Races 7-9 of this slate of races on This Website. The featured races in this post are the Incredible Finale and Tillie, where the purses of more than $100K. .

Here are races 7-9 on Hawthorne Racecourse’s 2021 Night of Champions.

Race 7 (The Kadabra Championship) 1 Mile, Dirt, Trot, $114K, 10 horses:

For this race, it is the Kadabra Championship. It is a battle of Illinois Conceived and Foaled 2-year-old colts and geldings. The Favorite of this race is #4 Fox Valley Cairo 3-2. While there are five long shots of this race at 30-1 Those horses are #1 Coochy, #6 Prowerful Prophet, #7 Mr. Mizzou, #9 Lous Barbossa, and #10 Lous Lancelot are those long shots at 30-1.

10 MTP: First and Goal is the favorite at 7-5. 
8 MTP: LB is a 99-1 long shot. 
6 MTP: #2 Romantic Warrior is near his morning line of 7-1. He is at 8-1. 
4 MTP: #8 LousDobb had a morning line of 4-1. He is at 35-1.
2 MTP: FVC is the favorite at 3-5. While LB is an 80-1 long shot.

Race 8 (The Incredible Finale) 1 Mile, Dirt, Pace, $138K, 10 horses:

This next race is the biggest prize of the whole Summer Meet at Hawthorne, The Incredible Finale. The Incredible Finale is a battle of 2-year-old colts and geldings. There are five long shots at 30-1. Those horses are #1 Cole Thornton, #2 Frontier Bombay, #3 Major Grin, #4 Magazine Theme, and #5 Pericles. The favorite of this race is #8 Fox Valley Ozzy at 3-2.

10 MTP: #7 KingofMyHeart is the favorite an even-odd favorite.
8 MTP: #9 Bigday Bombay is a 60-1 long shot.
6 MTP: There are three 40-1 long shots. FB, MT, and Pericles are the 40-1 long shots.
4 MTP: Major Grin is at his morning line of 30-1. As Magazine Theme was coming out of the stable, he was starting to get restless before the post parade.
2 MTP: FVO is the favorite at 3-2. While #3 Major Grin and #4 Magazine Theme are the 35-1 long shots. And FB and Pericles is at their morning lines of 30-1.

Race 9 (The Incredible Tillie) 1 Mile, Dirt, Pace, $117K, 10 horses:

And the last stakes race of the night for my blog posting on Shish on Horse Racing, is the Incredible Tillie. The Tillie is a battle of 2-year-old Fillies. #5 Apple Valley is the favorite of this race at 5-2. While there are three long shots at 30-1. #2 Eris, #3 Pattycake Mooss, and #8 IWannaRockNRoll are those 30-1 long shots.

10 MTP: Apple Valley is the favorite at 7-5. 
8 MTP: Pattycake Mooss is a 35-1 long shot.
6 MTP: #4 Lady Bombay is near her morning line of 8-1. She is at 7-1.
4 MTP: Rimssashlee is now a 50-1 long shot.
2 MTP: AV is the favorite at 6-5. While the Rim is a 55-1 long shot. LB is near her morning line of 8-1, at 7-1.

So, LousDobb wins the 2021 Kadabra Championship. Fox Valley Ozzy wins the 2021 Incredible Finale. And Apple Valley wins The 2021 Incredible Tillie.
