Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Horse Racing’. This Afternoon, it is Races 7-9, over by Ruidoso Downs, featuring the 2023 Ruidoso Futurity.
 
Quarter Horse World is looking at Trusty Jess who is the favorite of the first leg of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown at Ruidoso Downs. His morning line is 2-1. He will be challenged by #9 Caramel Macchiato (9-2), #8 AR Victorias Legacy (6-1), and #4 Wired 440 (15-1).
 
Also in this post is the consolation race for running the Ruidoso Futurity Trials, the 2023 Ruidoso QH Juvenile Stakes. That race is favored by #1 Jones Hero (5-2). A sentimental pick for 80’s American Action Fans is #2 Yippee Ki Yey (15-1).

Let's Leave is the big winner. He won the $1 Million Purse for his training crew, as he won the 2023 Ruidoso Quarter Horse Futurity. 

In the 2023 Ruidoso QH Juvenile Stakes, it was Yipee Ki Yey who won that Grade III stakes at 9-1. 

Ruidoso Downs Race Track & Casino will host the 2nd Leg of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown Futurities on Sunday July 16th. The $1 Million Rainbow Futurity will be held on that day.
