Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is San Francisco Giants taking on Milwaukee Brewers. The Giants come in with a record of 42-48. While the Brewers come in with a record of 47-45. Both teams are chasing the Phils for the 2nd N.L. Wild Card.

While the Brewers are in a dogfight with the rest of the N.L. Central, the same can’t be said for the Giants. They are out of contention for the N.L. West, as the Dodgers are running away with that division. The Giants are in last place, where they are 16.5 GB of the Dodgers. However they are 4.5 GB the Phillies for the 2nd N.L. Wild Card. So this is a more important series for the Giants than the Brewers.

Speaking of the Brewers, the defending National League Central Champs are 1.5 GB the Cubs and 0.5 GB the Phillies. Although their road back to the Postseason is better than the Giants, they are having issues with their pitching staff.

Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are left-hander Madison Bumgarner for the Giants and right-hander Zach Davies for the Brewers. Bumgarner comes in with a record of 5-7, 4.03 ERA, and 1.20 WHIP. Meanwhile Davies comes in with a record of 7-2, 3.07 ERA, and 1.38 WHIP.

The Brewers bats woke up in the 8th and 9th Innings. It was capped off by Ben Gamel's Walk-Off RBI-Double to end the game. For the Giants, you might wonder if their latest run might be too late for the Postseason.
