Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is a Major League Baseball game, between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins.
The Yankees are finding themselves in the middle of the pack in the AL East, due to Tampa Bay’s historic start. New York is already 6 GB the Rays for the AL East lead. So, they are going to need series like this one to give them a chance to earn a wild card. For the Twins, they are off to a good start. They are leading the AL Central by a game. But they had a trap series against the Nationals, where they dropped 2 out of 3 games. This is an important series, this early in the season for Minnesota. They’ve had struggles against the Bronx Bombers, but hopefully catching them while they are trying to figure out how to play with one another should help the team from the Twin Cities. Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of right-handers. Jhony Brito will start for the Yankees. While the Twins will go with Sonny Gray. Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is a battle of American League Postseason combatants. As the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Houston Astros.
The Blue Jays are enjoying taking 2 out of 3 games from the formerly unbeaten Rays. They are now heading into Houston to face the Defending Champion Astros. For the Astros, they are struggling minus Jose Altuve and Michael Brantley, out of the lineup. They are still 2.5 games behind the Texas Rangers for the AL West Lead. Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of right-handers. Kevin Gausman will go for the Jays. While the Astros will go with Cristian Javier. Both California teams are looking to do better than last year. As the Giants didn’t make the Postseason. Whereas The Dodgers got bounced by The San Diego Padres, in last year’s NLDS. The Dodgers and Giants are looking to take this series, before heading into This Weekend. Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are premier matchup. Left-hander Clayton Kershaw will start for the Dodgers. Despite losing shortstop Dansby Swanson to the Cubs. They are still a loaded team. They are led by Ronald Acuña, Junior and Ozzie Albies. For the Cardinals, they appear that they have some new left-handed bats in the form of Brendan Donovan & Alec Burleson. Whether one of them will eventually be sandwiched between Goldschmidt & Arenado this year, remains to be seen. Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of left-handed pitchers.
