Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is a National League East battle, between Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves.

Coming into Tonight’s action, Braves come in 3.5 games ahead of Phillies for the National
League East. Atlanta’s Magic Number is 3. So, a win tonight will shred the magic number to 1.

For the Phillies, they are eliminated from NL Wild Card Spot. So, their only hope for playing past This Sunday, is to run the table and knock the Braves from the NL East Crown.

Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are right-hander Aaron Nola for the Phillies. And Left-hander Max Fried will start for the Braves. Nola comes in with a strikeout/walk ratio of 5.92, a 3.99 pitches/plate appearance, and a 0.87 groundout/airout ratio. As for Fried, he comes in with a K/BB ratio of 3.71, a P/PA of 3.83, and a GO/AO of 1.62.

3 of the Braves' runs came after 2 outs. Braves didn't beat themselves and didn't need a homer in this game. As for Phillies, the game came to an end in the Bottom of 7th Inning. That inning they scored 4 runs, in this game.

With the win, Braves Magic Number is 1 game.
