Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live Blogging on Shish on Baseball’. Tonight it is Opening Day throughout Major League Baseball, it concludes with Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners. The Mariners won both their games vs. A’s in Tokyo, while the Red Sox start their defense of their World Series Championship.

There are some questions for the Carmines this year. They are without closer Craig Kimbrel, who could become either a Brave or Brewer soon. So the biggest question for the BoSox is who is going to be the closer for them?

For the Mariners, they are hoping that this new crop of players will get them to Postseason. They got rid of Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz. Felix Hernandez looks like he is going to be the team’s #5 starter.

Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are a pair of lefties. Chris Sale goes for the Red Sox. And Marco Gonzales for the Mariners. Sale’s highlight of last year was striking out Manny Machado to win the World Series for the Red Sox. Gonzales’ last outing, he got the win vs. A’s, going 6 innings, giving 3 earned runs, on 7 hits. He struck out 4, while only walking one batter.

Final Thoughts:
The Mariners look like they are off to a great offensive start. As for Red Sox, Chris Sale looked rusty. They looked like they were fatigued from the World Series.
