Robbie Peralta and Ruben Warr showed some hate for each other at the Weigh-In Yesterday. Both fighters are combat sports veterans. But Peralta been prize fighting since 2007. For Warr he has a .500 combat sports record. But he is looking for a victory to claim the lightweight ladder in BKFC. The Co-Main has Fernando Gonzalez taking on Rodney Thomas. Gonzalez originally scheduled to face Kyle McElroy. But McElroy withdrew and Thomas will make his BKFC Debut. Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Bare Knuckle Boxing’. Tonight, it is the Main Card of Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship’s BKFC 62. This premium live event features three title fights.
The Main Event is for the BKFC Featherweight Championship, between Kai Stewart (5-0-0) taking on Bryan Duran (6-0-0). Both fighters defeated Louie Lopez, but Stewart defeated Howard Davis to retain the belt in BKFC 56. Duran looked impressive, but will Stewart's strength of opponent be the difference? In the Co-Main Event, BKFC Bantamweight Champion Keith Richardson (4-0-0) taking on Alberto Blas (4-0-0). Both fighters are undefeated in 4 fights. But Richardson dethroned Reggie Barnett, Junior to get the 135 Lbs. Strap. The third title bout is for the Light Heavyweight Championship Belt. Jared Warren (6-2) and Jomi Escoboza (9-1) will not only fight for the 185 Lbs. Strap, but it will be a rematch. In the first fight, Warren defeated Jomi in BKFC Tampa 2. A victory against Dustin Pague could give him a title shot. For Pague, he is #4 among welterweights. And he is on a 3-bout winning streak. He is coming off a victory over Joe Elmore. The same goes for Pague, a victory against CTS and he could have a title shot against Austin Trout. Plus, Dakota Cochrane returns to the squared circle against Jeremie Holloway.
