​Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Mixed Martial Arts’. Tonight it is the Prelims of UFC Fight Night at Fight Island. The Main Event of this Card is between Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige, in the featherweight division. That is on the Main Card. But there are some fights in the Prelims. Here are the fights on the Preliminary Card.

Jack Shore vs. Aaron Phillips (Bantamweight Bout):
For the first bout of the night, it is a battle of bantamweights. England’s Jack Shore (1-0) takes on Aaron Phillips (8-2) from America. Shore is known as a submission specialist. While Phillips is known as a knockout expert.
Their tale of the tape has Phillips with height and leg reach advantage. While Shore has a reach advantage.

In this women’s flyweight scrap, Romania’s Diana Belbita (13-5) takes on Liana Jojua of the Nation of Georgia.

UFC Announcer Paul Felder got permission to be in Jared Gordon's corner due to Gordon's Camp having members testing positive with COVID-19.

In this light heavyweight fight, it is Lithuanian Modestas Bukauskas (10-2) taking on Andreas Michailidis. This appears to be Michailidis’ MMA Debut. For Bukauskas, this is his UFC Debut.

Now the featured prelim is a middleweight fight, between UK and Czech Republic. Welsh’s John Phillips (22-9-0, 1 NC) takes on Khamzat Chimaev (6-0). It will be Chimaev’s UFC Debut.

The telecast Chimaev fighting out of Sweden, by way of Chechnya. 

Phillips is in the black trunks. Chimaev is in the gray trunks. Herb Dean is in the referee.

4:55: Chimaev takes down Phillips, after giving the welsh man a head kick.
4:30: Chimaev with some strikes.
4:03: Chimaev busts open Phillips.

Final Thoughts:
Chimaev, Jojua, Murphy, Shore were dominate in their finishes. Gordon was dominate in his unanimous decision victory over Chris Fishgold. And an unfortunate way to lose by TKO for Andreas Michailidis against Modestas Bukausas
