PFL Playoffs: Featherweights & Light Heavyweights

​Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Mixed Martial Arts’. Tonight, it is 2021 PFL Playoffs featuring Featherweights and Light Heavyweights.
 
So far, 4 out of 6 PFL Championship Bouts are set for Wednesday October 27th, 2021. The Heavyweight, Lightweight, Women’s Lightweight, and Featherweight bouts are set with fighters hoping to earn $1 Million.
And now we are down to two weight divisions, to set their Championship Bouts in a couple of months.
 
Here are the semifinals of the PFL Light Heavyweight (205 Lbs.) and Featherweight (145 Lbs.) Divisions.

9:43 pm CDT: PFL Playoff Broadcast on ESPN 2 have begun. 

Cezar Ferreira (Brazil) vs. Marthin Hamlet (Norway) Light Heavyweight Semifinal:

Ferreira is in the gold trunks. While Hamlet is in the black trunks. 

Larry Folsom is the referee. 

Round 1:
4:57: Hamlet with a leg kick.
4:49: Hamlet takes advantage of an injury to Ferreira. After a leg kick by Ferreira, his other leg appeared to be a hamstring injury.
4:47: Folsom ends the Fight.

Result: Marthin Hamlet wins by TKO, :13 into Round 1.

Marthin Hamlet advances to PFL Light Heavyweight Championship.

Antonio Carlos, Junior (Brazil) vs. Emiliano Sordi (Argentina) Light Heavyweight Semifinal:
Carlos is in the black and gray. Sordi is in the gold and black trunks.

4:32: Sordi with a leg kick.
4:18: Carlos with a leg kick.
4:01: Carlos with a punch.
3:51: Carlos with a leg kick.
3:33: Sordi with a left jab.
3:02: Both fighters exchange punches.

2:03: Carlos with a combo and into a takedown attempt.
1:37: Glenn pauses the fight, due to a incidental knee to the groin.
1:37: Glenn resumes the fight.

Wade is in the green trunks. While Jenkins is in the black and gray trunks.

4:58: Bubba tried a flying knee.
4:41: Bubba with a takedown.
3:58: Wade with a headlock.
3:48: Bubba has Wade's back.
3:32: Wade gets back off the mat.
3:15: Bubba has Wade to he mat.
3:03; Wade had a guillotine. But Bubba had to get out of the submission.

1:30: Wade is trying to get out of the mount.

Bubba Jenkins Movlid Khaybulaev Made It To the PFL Playoffs, By Defeating the Likes of Lazar Stogadinovic in PFL 1 

Brendan Loughnane (Great Britain) vs. Movlid Khaybulaev (Russian Federation) Featherweight Semifinal:
Loughnane is in the black and gray trunks. While Movlid is in the green trunks. 

Keith Peterson is the referee.

Round 1:
4:48: Loughnane with a leg kick, but Movlid with a takedown.
4:18: Both fighters exchange punches on the ground.
3:30: Loughnane tried a choke attempt.
2:49: Movlid with a forearm.
2:28: Movlid with some punches.
2:06: Loughnane was too high on a guillotine attempt.
1:30: Movlid with a combo on the top mount.
:51: Another high guillotine attempt by Loughnane.
:02: Movlid with a nasty takedown, right after they both get back off the mat.

Final Thoughts:
So it is Movlid vs. Wade in the Featherweight Championship. While Antonio Carlos, Junior will take on Marthin Helmet in the Light Heavyweight Championship. 

Professional Fighters League will return on Wednesday October 27th, 2021. When they will have the PFL Championship Bouts. All 6 of those bouts will give the winner of those fights $1 Million Each.
