Live-Blogging: BKFC 34-Palomino vs. Shoaff-Main Card

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Bare Knuckle Boxing’. Tonight, it is the Main Card of BKFC 34-Palomino vs. Shoaff.

There are two title fights tonight, in Hollywood, Florida. Palomino vs. Shoaff for the BKFC Lightweight Championship. And Francesco Ricchi and David Mundell, for the BKFC Middleweight Championship Belt.

Luis Palomino is considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in David Feldman’s bare knuckle promotion. ‘The Peruvian Baboon’ is one of two double champions in the BKFC. Tonight, he defends his lightweight strap against Chicagoland’s Thomas Shoaff.

Shoaff is on a 3-fight win streak. And is looking to take one of the two championships Palomino currently holds.

In the Co-Main Event, it is for the Middleweight Belt, between Francesco Ricchi and David Mundell. Ricchi is undefeated and is coming off defeating Uly Diaz back on June 24th, 2022. Ricchi is hoping to defend his belt and go 6-0 in BKFC.

Mundell is on a 3-fight win streak. And that win streak has him ranked #2 in Light Heavyweight. But Tonight, he will fight for the BKFC Middleweight Belt, in this Co-Main Event.

Blake Davis vs. William Dunkle (Middleweight Bout):
Davis is in the black and silver trim trunks. While Dunkle is in the black and red trunks.

Howard Davis vs. Louie Lopez (Featherweight Bout):
Davis is in the Jamaica color trunks. While Lopez is in the white trunks and black trim.

Between Rounds 1 & 2, Doctor stopped the fight due to Howard Davis having a cut above the eye.

Co-Main Event-Francesco Ricchi vs. David Mundell (Middleweight Championship Bout):

Between Rounds, the doctor stopped the fight. 

Result: Luis Palomino defeated Thomas Shoaff by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at the end of Round 3.

Luis Palomino retains BKFC Lightweight Champion.


Final Thoughts:
Luis Palomino was getting hit by Thomas Shoaff, but 'The Peruvian Baboon' hits harder. He retains the BKFC Lightweight Championship Belt and the #1 Pound-for-Pound ranking in BKFC.

David Mundell was methodical in knocking out Francesco Ricchi, in the 3rd Round. He knocked out Ricchi with a body shot. The Former Middleweight Champ gets back up off the mat. And then Mundell hits the knockout punch, 1:48 into Round 3.

The Knockout of the Night belongs to Byron Duran only needing 15 seconds to defeat Kobe Bowen. 

The Fight of the Night belongs to Christine Vicens vs. Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. Vicens dominated the 5-round fight against Lybarger, to get the unanimous decision.

BKFC will head to Thailand for BKFC Thailand 4, Next Saturday to close out the 2022 year. For BKFC in the United States, will be in January 27th, 2022 for BKFC 35. BKFC 35 will open up South Carolina, in Myrtle Beach.
