Live-Blogging: BKFC 21-Cochrane vs. Richman Main Card

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Bare Knuckle Boxing’. Tonight, it is the Main Card of BKFC 21-Cochrane vs. Richman.

David Feldman’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will do their first event in Nebraska. BKFC is going to have events in Arizona, Montana, and New York to name a few states. But today, they are in Omaha for their BKFC 21.

In the Main Event, Dakota Cochrane will take on Mike Richman in a Welterweight Bout. Before that, Sam Shewmaker and Josh Burns will fight in a heavyweight bout.

The Main Card starts with the American Legion bringing the color guard. 

The 'Star-Spangled Banner' is being sang.

The Bell Ringer in the Squared Circle rang the bell 10 times for the men and women who sacrificed everything in the last 20 years after 9-11-01.

Kelen Fantroy vs. JC Deleon (155 Lbs. Bout):

Fantroy is in the white trunks. Deleon is in the black trunks.

1:57: Both fighters exchange punhes.
1:40: Deleon with a left.
1:32: Fantroy with a right, but clinch saved Deleon.
1:14: Fantroy with a right.
1:02: Both fighters are in the clinch.

:35: Fantroy's right grazed Deleon.

My Guess: Fantroy wins Round 1, 10-9.

Sean Wilson vs. Will Shutt
Shutt is in the Pittsburgh Black and Gold Trunks. While Wilson is in the white trunks. 

Kerry Hatley is the referee.

1:55: Both fighters exchange punches and into the clinch.
1:42: Wilson with some right.
1:35: Wilson knokcks down Shutt.
1:18: Shutt gets back off the mat.
1:04: Wilson with a right.
:55: Wilson knocks down Shutt.
:39: Hatley ends the Fight.

Result: Sean Wilson defeated Will Shutt by TKO, 1:21 into Round 1. Shutt suffered a cut on the right eyebrow.

Jason High vs. Rocky Long (165 Lbs. Bout):
High is in the black and blue trunks. While Long is in the Mexican Color trunks. 

Andrew Glenn is the referee.

1:45: Glenn breaks up a clinch.
1:25: High had Long in a guillotine.
1:05: Long with a left.
:57: High slams Long.

Last Month, I Live-Blogged BKFC 20: Bedford vs. Barnett 

Ryan Roberts vs. Jorge Gonzalez
Roberts is in the blue and white trunks. Gonzalez is in the red and black trunks.

Nick Berens is the referee. 

Round 1:
1:50: Gonzalez with a right.
1:20: Gonzalez with a right.
1:18: Roberts with a clinch.
:47: Roberts with some punches.
:33: Gonzalez with a left jab.
:25: Roberts with a left to knockdown Gonzalez.

My Guess: Roberts wins Round 1, 10-8.

Round 2:

1:42: Roberts landed a nasty right. 
1:31: Berens ends the Fight.

Result: Ryan Roberts defeated Jorge Gonzalez, by TKO :29 into Round 2.

Lorenzo Hunt joins Wheelock and Lytle in the announcer booth. 

Houston Alexander vs. Wes Combs
Alexander is in the black and red trunks. Combs is in the black trunks.

Kerry Hatley is the referee.

1:57: Combs with a jab.
1:49: Alexander with a jab.
1:42: Combs with a combo.
1:28: Alexander knocks down Combs.
1:25: Hatley ends the Fight. 

Result: Houston Alexander wins by KO, :34 into Round 1.

Co-Main Event: Sam Shewmaker vs. Josh Burns (Heavyweight Bout): 
Burns with a white trunks. He comes in with the American Flag. While one of his training staff has a 'Back the Blue' and another with a 'Back the Red American Flags. Shewmaker is in the American and black trunks.

Round 1:
1:52: Burns knocks down Shewmaker. 
1:41: Berens ends the Fight.

Result: Josh Burns defeated Sam Shewmaker by TKO, :19 into Round 1.

Main Event: Dakota Cochrane vs. Mike Richman​ (Middleweight Bout):
Cochrane is in the white trunks. Richman is in the leopard skin design trunks.

1:52: Richman with a right.
1:38: Richman knocks down Cochrane with a right. 
1:14: Richman continues the onslaught.
1:03; Richman knocks down Cochrane.
:36: Richman knocks Cochrane down with a boyd shot.
:05: Richman knocks Cochrane down again.
:00: The End of Round 1.

My Guess: Richman wins Round 1, 10-6.

Round 2:
​1:55; Cochrane with  some combo.
1:37: Richman with a knockdown of Cochrane. Cochrane's nose is bleeding bad.
1:23: Glenn ends the Fight.

Result: Mike Richman defeated Dakota Cochrane by TKO, :37 into Round 2.

Final Thoughts:
In a night of knockouts, Mike Richman ends the night with a TKO to Dakota Cochrane, :37 into Round 2.


Knockout of the Night belongs to Houston Alexander knocking out Wes Combs :34 into Round 1.

The Fight of the Night had to be the Main Event. Richman knocked Cochrane down 5 times (4 of them in the 1st Round). But in Round 2, Richman was too much for Cochrane.

BKFC will had to Montana on October 9th, for their 'Fight Night Montana'.
