2022 Calder Cup Playoffs-North Division Semifinals-Game 5-Laval Rocket at Syracuse Crunch

Game Location: Upstate Medical University Arena, Syracuse, NY

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Professional Ice Hockey’. Tonight, it is Game 5 of the North Division Semifinals in the North Division Semifinals, between Laval Rocket (Montreal Canadiens AHL Affiliate) and Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay Lightning).

Crunch have won games 1 & 4. While Rocket have won games 2 & 3. So, now they are in Game 5 to decide who will face the winner of Rochester/Utica Series.

Rocket is led by Sami Niku in points, in the Playoffs. While Alex Belzille leads Laval in goal scoring.

For the Crunch, they are led by Anthony Richard in scoring While Remi Elie is a co-leader in goal scoring.

It is Syracuse Crunch and Laval Rocket in Game 2 of the North Division Semifinals in the Calder Cup Playoffs, coming up shortly.

Rocket is in their road Montreal Canadiens white, red, and navy uniforms. While the Crunch are in their Tampa Bay Lightning blue uniforms.

Final Thoughts:
Rocket overcame a 2-goal deficit by getting a PPG from Alex Belzile in the 2nd Period, Cedric Paquette in the final seconds of regulation, and Gabriel Bourque in overtime.

For the Crunch, they had opportunities fall in their favor early in this Game 5. But were not able to cash in their chances from 7:16 into 2nd Period into the end of the game. 

With the win, Laval Rocket wins the Best-of-5 series against Syracuse Crunch. And they will play the winner of Utica/Rochester in the North Division Finals. Dates yet to be determined.
