2024 NWSL/Liga MXF Summer Cup Semifinal-Kansas City Current vs. North Carolina Courage

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Women’s Soccer’. Tonight, it is a 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Semifinal fixture, between the #1 Seed Kansas City Current and the #4 Seed North Carolina Courage.

The Current breezed through Group C. They defeated the likes of Houston Dash, Tigers UANL, and Pachuca. Now they will defend their home pitch against one of the most storied franchises in the National Women’s Soccer League, the Courage.

The Courage was undefeated in group play. But since matches won on penalty kicks were only 2 points, North Carolina needed a 3-0 clean sheet against the Rayadas of Monterrey. They would like to get a victory to advance to the tournament’s championship match.

It is the Kansas City Current and the North Carolina Courage, coming up shortly.

Final Thoughts: 
Current gets scoring by Temwa Chawinga and Debinha. They dominated the match through most of this match. For the Courage, they didn't get many scoring chances. And when they do, they couldn't get the ball past Ad Franch. 

Kansas City Current will face Gotham FC on Friday October 25th.
