Hello and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging on Shish on College Football’. Tonight, it is Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on Michigan Wolverines. This is the first time that the Irish played the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, since 2013. This is the 2nd of the home-and-home series after the Irish wanted to play more ACC games, with their new conference in non-football sports. The Irish won last year’s game in South Bend, by a score of 24-17.

The Irish are led by quarterback Ian Book in passing. Tony Jones, Jr. leads the team in rushing. And Chase Claypool’s is Notre Dame’s leading receiver.

Their team stats include moving the ball at 450.5 YPG (262 through the air and 188.5 on the ground). Defensively, they yield at 346.2 YPG (195.2 through the air and 151 on the ground).

For the Wolverines, they are led by quarterback Shea Patterson. Zach Charbonnet leads the team in rushing. While Ronnie Bell leads Michigan in receiving.

For their teams stats, they move the ball at 391.6 YPG (237.6 through the air and 154 on the ground). Defensively, they yield the ball at 283.3 YPG (163.6 through the air and 119.7 on the ground).

Earlier today, it was announced that these two schools won't play against each other until 2033 and 2034. Both games will be played on Labor Day Saturday, with the game in Ann Arbor in 2033. And it will be in South Bend in 2034.
