Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on College Football’. Tonight, it is the 2024-25 College Football Playoff 1st Round game, between the Indiana Hoosiers (11-1) and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-1).
The Hoosiers are having a program season. They have won a record 11 victories. And their average scoring margin is a plus 28 points per game. But tonight, they are headed to South Bend, to face their in-state rival Fighting Irish.

For the Irish, they defeated Texas A&M to start the season. Then they got upset by Northern Illinois. Only for Notre Dame to finish the regular season winning 10 straight games. They would like to keep that streak going. Because if they don’t, they will have their season come to an end.
Indiana is led by Senior Quarterback Kurtis Rourke in passing. The Hoosiers are led by Senior Running Back Justice Ellison in rushing. And Junior Wide Receiver Elijah Sarratt leads the Bloomington-University in receiving.

As for the Irish, they are led by Senior Quarterback Riley Leonard in passing. Notre Dame is led by Sophomore Running Back Jeremiyah Love in rushing. And Senior Wide Receiver Beaux Collins leads the South Bend Catholic University in receiving.

It is the Indiana Hoosiers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, in the 1st Round of the 2024-25 College Football Playoff. The game will begin shortly.

Hoosiers are in their white uniforms, with crimson helmets. While the Irish are in their navy jerseys, gold helmets and pants.

Final Thoughts:
Fighting Irish dominated this game at the line of scrimmage. They outrushed the Hoosiers 193-63, including Jeremiyah Love's 98-yard TD run. 

For the Hoosiers, they found out that they were not playing Western Illinois nor Purdue Tonight. Instead they played Notre Dame. And they lost and are eliminated from the College Football Playoff. 

With the win, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will play Georgia in the 2025 Sugar Bowl/CFP Quarterfinals on New Year's Night.
