Live-Blogging: BKFC 63-Hart vs. Starling

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Bare Knuckle Boxing’. Tonight, it is Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s first visit to Sturgis. As David Feldman/Triller’s Promotion hosts BKFC 63.

The Main Event in front of bikers, will be Britain Hart (8-3) defending her BKFC Women’s Strawweight Championship Belt against Taylor Starling (4-2). Both fighters have fought Christine Ferea and lost for the Women’s Flyweight Strap. Now they will fight for the Strawweight Belt.

Hart is on a 4-fight winning streak. This will be her first fight in 11 months. Her last fight she defeated Melanie Shah by unanimous decision in BKFC 51. Now she goes for her fifth straight victory.

For Starling, she bounced back from losing to both Ferea and Masson-Wong by defeating Jenny Savage, in the Co-Main Event of BKFC Fight Night Albuquerque. Now she looks to cement herself as the third woman on the ‘Mount Rushmore’ of BKFC Women Fighters along with Ferea and Tonight’s opponent Britain Hart.

In the Co-Main Event, it is a rematch of BKFC 21 Heavyweight Co-Main, between Josh Burns (6-8) and Sam Shewmaker (4-4-1). In BKFC 21, Burns defeated Shewmaker by TKO, 19 seconds into Round 1. Now they will fight 3 years later. This is Burns’ first fight since that fight on September 10th, 2021.

As For Shewmaker, this is his first fight since losing to Mick Terrel in August 2022 in BKFC 27.

Final Thoughts:
Britain Hart and Taylor Starling fought like they were in the Main Event of a BKFC Event in Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. 5 rounds of their quickness, fury, and toughness. But it was Hart who had an edge, to retain the BKFC Women's Strawweight Championship Belt.

Hart vs. Starling is the Fight of the Night.

In the Co-Main Event, that fight was deflated a little bit by Josh Burns having a possible knee injury. But Sam Shewmaker took advantage of that to avenge the knockout loss by Burns at BKFC 21. Shewmaker won by unanimous decision.

Timmy Mason knocking out Gabriel Freyre in 18 seconds was looking like Knockout of the Night. But Josh Dyer told Mason, to hold his Forged Irish Stout, as Dyer massively knocked out Will Albrecht in the 1st Round of the Featured Fight of the night.

And Performance of the Night, went to Roberto Armas as he methodically defeated Jack Grady by TKO, in the 3rd Round.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will head to UK for BKFC 64, Next Saturday Afternoon/Night. The Triller/Connor McGregor/David Feldman promotion will head back to the States for a BKFC Fight Night in Kansas City.
