Hello, and welcome to a special edition of ‘Live-Blogging Shish on Baseball’. Tonight, it is a 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifier, between Team Colombia (1-0) and Team China (0-1).
 
Colombia is coming off a 5-0 shutout victory over Team Brazil. Julio Teheran pitched 6 shutout innings. A win tonight will extend Colombia’s run for another game.
 
For China, a must win. After losing to Germany by 10-run rule. They need a victory tonight, to keep their hopes for being eligible for next year’s WBC alive.
 
Tonight’s Starting Pitchers are right-hander Haizheng Wu for Team China. While the Colombians will start left-handed pitcher Rio Gomez.
 
It is Team Colombia and Team China, coming up shortly.

Final Thoughts:
Colombia found some more scoring. Jesus Marriaga led the way with a homer and 4 RBIs. Their pitching was outstanding, in these first two games of the WBC Qualifier. They only gave up a run, in the last two games.

For China, they are not pitching and they are not hitting extra base hits. 

Colombia will play Germany, Tomorrow Night. While China will face Brazil, Tomorrow Afternoon.
